Duo Aprecios

Matts cousin, Chris is a real estate agent so we met with him and his wife Tiffanie this weekend
to discuss our upcoming home buy. We went to dinner and then headed back to their house and played with their serval, Niko. He is a HUGE cat, and he loved to play. He wasn't a big fan of getting pet, but you could sneak some touches in when he was distracted with toys. Matt hid a ball under his feet, and Niko loved to try and dig it out. Matt and Chris played DDR, and were so funny about it. They are so alike, and its going to be fun to have family so close (we are looking at homes near their place). They have been such a help during this exciting, but confusing time of our life. It is sure going to be so much easier and worry free knowing that they are going to protect us from a bad deal.

where is "up there"???? It sounds like it's too far away from us...

ps -- a SERVAL?! What in the world? It looks like a dog in cat's clothing...

PPS -- just did my research. wowsers! according to Wikipedia: "the Serval is highly specialised for catching rodents"

Any time they want to let him/her loose in the field behind our house, we'd be happy to have them...those little/medium rodents won't know what hit 'em...

Didn't your parents ever teach you about playing with fierce jungle animals? First, they could have rabies. Which is especially dangerous since there is no such thing as a rabies doctor. Second, Dora the Explorer is NOT REAL! She is a made up character and in real life, people who deal with these types of animals carry stun guns.

Seriously, you are lucky to be alive.

I love it, beautiful cat, where did they get it, I thought that owning them was a no-no? May depend on different areas. heck we need one around here, both for my parents yard and since my digs are horrible guard dogs, they just let the mice roam the back porch making a mess. :) (ok no cat for us but cool anyhoo!)

I am SO JEALOUS! You guys have all the fun! Here I could spout facts about servals and wishing my t.v. was bigger so I could watch them, and you are freaking petting one! How is it that your lives are so fantastic? And I hope and pray that you get the house if for no other reason than it has a cool pillar out front.

That is the scariest thing I have ever seen. I would of wet myself. I am deathly afraid of cats...let along huge ones that could eat me for lunch. I am so glad you are alive to blog about it.
