Labor Attempt #2: Foot Massage

A massage therapist (aka sister-in-law) who knows labor inducing pressure pointstwo swollen feet

Painful braxton-hicks contractions that don't last through the night.

Labor Attempt #2: Close, but no cigar!

Too bad it didn't work! You'll have to try again when you're further along. Those painful contractions could be doing something too, let's hope. I want to meet the little guy! ;)

I heard drinking sparkling cider works, at least it did for my friend 3 times. Good luck!

S-E-X helps... haha! On a more realistic note :-) how about squats. Nelisha (here at work) says all the Indian women do it... Its worth a shot!

oh holly... i've been there and tried em' all! NOTHING worked with my first kid... NOTHING (and trust me I tried EVERYTHING!) But pulling a pelvic ligament by running downhill at 33 weeks prego and then shampooing my carpet three times in two days ... put me into labor 4 weeks early this time... I don't recommend the ligament one, but maybe try the carpet cleaning? ;)

You funny pregnant girl! Stay away from the wives tales, put your feet up, get your rest and take it easy. Keep on cooking that little boy of yours, he'll let you know when HE is ready to come out!!

Oh Holly! You're so funny!
My best advice though is to keep on waiting and let him stay safe inside your belly. Although he might be big, sometimes the insides aren't developed yet. My friend had a baby 3 weeks early and although he weighed 7 1/2 lbs he was not ready to be out and he had a lot of problems the first few months. He needed to eat ever 2 hours round the clock for 6 weeks which meant waking him up and he wouldn't wake up a few times cause he's so little and he ended up back in the hospital from loosing too much weight. He was also too weak to suck so feeding him took 45 -60 minutes every time. I don't want to scare you, but these are things you should know. I'm a FIRM believer in waiting and letting at all happen as natural as possible.

Good luck babe!

My dr said that squats were the best thing. I ran up and down the Lion Street stairs a bunch (a REALLY long set of stairs here in SF), and did every other thing I could think of and Jax was still a week late. I wouldn't trade it for the world though, since he was big he was a great eater and sleeper. He slept 12 hours at night by 6 weeks! Big babies are great!

Have your doc strip your membranes! Will he be willing to do that this early?
