I might explode...

...if I am already REALLY showing at 8 weeks. After all, "little mole" as my mother described it, is only the size of an olive at this point.I called the nurse when I started to bulge and she says that there are 3 factors for my size. 1) I was thin to begin with. 2) My uterus is ahead of the pregnancy because of the hormones I was taking. 3) I had no ab muscles before getting pregnant. All of these are contributing factors in my case.
So, although I look like a beer junkie, I am fine and healthy. I am actually loving the tummy, I just feel weird when people ask me, "How far along ARE you?" and I reply with, "Only 2 months. No its not twins."

Holly you look freaking adorable! And you know what? The sooner you start showing, the sooner you stop feeling "chubby" and start feeling "pregnant!!" it's a good thing. I was crazy sick with Max so it took me a long time to gain weight and show so I just looked like a fatty for a while and then my belly was like 'wabam" overnight.

And just brace yourself. People say the MOST obnoxious things to pregnant women. Like when I was like seven months, people would be like (including so called friends) "wow you're huge! hehe!" or "wow you still have a whole nohter month?" ya. not funny or cute. The ultimate was when a co worker straight up asked me if I was "gaining some weight in the tummy area?" no joke. she was dead serious. I told her that it was a good thing I was pregnant, otherwise I'd be pretty offended. And then I punched her in the face. ok not really on the last part. But if anyone says tacky things to you, feel free to do it. I probably will next time. How do you feel btw?

I wonder if I fit the mold of people who say really stupid things to pregnant women. I try to be sensitive about it, because I've been around enough pregnant women to know how easy it is to upset them, you hormonal bunch of skanks.

Just kidding.

I think it is beautiful in most cases. I can't believe that you can make something like that inside you...amazing. My one vice is that I like to walk up to INCREDIBLY pregnant women and act extremely surprised and say frantically "OH MY GOSH, did you know you were PREGNANT?!?"

Don't you LOVE cute preggo bellies? They're only fun till about 7.5 months at most... then you can't wait till they're gone... then once they're gone you wish they were back so you had an excuse for your belly....motherhood is a funny thing. LOVE IT. :) With a heartbeat around 151, my guess is you'll have a boy. But...I could be wrong. I thought for SURE Tyson was a girl. :) I'm really happy for you Holly. You're too cute.

You are so cute! I was the same way when I had McKenzie. I was super tiny and skinny and started noticing the bulge before I even knew I was prego!

Oh my gosh, I love the belly!!! I'm super jealous because most of the time I still think I just look fat. Of course I was on the chubby side of life to begin this process... :-) No kidding we were at Ben Franklin last night and the cashier just had that "look" on her face and I knew she was thinking "Is she pregant or just fat?" Even Eric picked up on it and said, "Yes, my wife is seven and half months pregnant." The lady looked surprised and embarrased.

you are too cute. I'd enjoy it while you can. for me with both pregnancies I didn't show till 5 or 6 months. Although I already felt huge and like I had been showing I hated hearing at 5 months "your still hardly showing" or "your not showing at all" drives me nuts. If I'm going to feel big may as well have people go along with it in stead of arguing with me. At least you won't have that frustration. :) You'll just have new ones i can't relate to :) My comment is complete opposite of jessica. Yet I still had that moment of wanting to punch the person in the face. When I had already grown out of my regular clothes and still didn't fit in the maternity ones I felt huge because nothing fit yet everyone kept saying I wasn't showing at all. I just kept thinking "so your saying i just always look this fat?" hormones will make you crazy sometimes.

Oh in response to jen powells comment. Although I voted your having a boy. 151 doesn't always mean girl. Ethan had a heartbeat about what many said a girl should be and now here miss Emily has been keeping in the 150-151 range. I learned that most that stuff is just wives tales. :)

love it, Love it, LOVE it!

Your body starts belonging to the public when you are pregnant. People are going to touch you, make comments, and give you looks. Brace yourself.

My sister suggested this one (I never had the guts). When someone touches your tummy and says, "Wow -- look how big it's getting." You can point to your boobs and say, "These are getting bigger -- wanna touch them, too?"
