Friday night we headed up to Ensign Ranch for the annual ward camp out. When we arrived, there were only a few families there, so we took a spot next to the river. It is a beautiful camp ground, and I look forward to camping there every year. Last year Matt and I were on the activities committee, so we were in charge of the breakfast and details of camp out. So this year we were excited to just sit back and relax. However, only 5 or so family showed up, with no committee! So we helped out in every way possible. Matt built the fire (a really hot one!) for roasting marshmallows, and I played primary songs on the guitar. It was a good time, and I hope that we will get to go camping again soon.

what a LAME ward that only 5 families showed up! Yikes. Our Ward definitely shows up for the Campout. They encourage the non-campers to either attend the fireside (stories) and fire on Friday night and/or the Saturday morning breakfast. Our kids LOVE the slip-slide there. They can literally spend HOURS (4 was their record) sliding and running up the hill for more...
