Sam slept the whole drive so when we arrived in Leavenworth lunch was the first thing we did.
We are lucky to have a little boy who will eat anything that is put in front of him. Pickles, Sauerkraut and Bratwurst were just a few of the things he tested, enjoyed and devoured. (I just realized why Sam has been a little gassy the last two days...the cabbage.)

As much fun as we had in Leavenworth, I don't really get the appeal. It is a really pretty area but I don't really understand how people can spend weekends there. For us, its a good 6 hours of entertainment and yummy food, but that's about it. The shops are full of trinkets and junk and the rest are antiques that I could find 10 minutes down the road in Snohomish.I feel like we might be missing something.
On the way home, which is such a pretty drive through the mountains, we stopped to check out the river. Sam loved throwing rocks into the water and playing with the infinite supply of sticks.
I just enjoyed being out of the house.
